The
curriculum for the Greater Los Angeles Writers Conference is
somewhat unique, in that it offers educational tracks for Aspiring, Active and Accomplished writers
in an inspirational and educational, progressive stream of
learning.
This
system allow you to participate and learn at a comfortable level
with other writers of similar interests and disciplines.
You may jump from one track to another at any time, or over a
period of days, experience as many as you can. Its your
choice!
Genre
Workshops/Panels: You may also attend workshops and panels
on specific genres, including: Science Fiction & Fantasy,
Murder Mysteries & Thrillers, Memoirs, Romance & Chic
Lit, Poetry, Self-Help Spiritual and more.
Renegade
Screenwriting: Los Angeles Valley College is home to excellent
Media Arts programs and the popular IDEAS training programs.
We are pleased to offer an entire stream of informative sessions
for screenwriters and movie makers. We sometimes offer
the Renegade Screenwriting Track so named because attendees
can interact with industry pros in a roundtable setting and
discuss anything of interest to the group. It is an innovative
way to learn what you want to know about screenwriting and
the motion picture/television industry.
ProCritique™: You
can have your manuscript read by a professional editor or agent,
who will offer guidance in a 1-on-1 mini-session on how to perfect
and fine-tune your work. (Reading fee per submission. Meetings
held daily by appointment) 
In
addition to the educational workshop, there are two Keynote
Speaker Addresses (with a light lunch) on Saturday and
Sunday, plus ProCritique™ 1-on-1 consultations on your work
