“New Writing Opportunities
in the Aftermath of the Virus”

A FREE Virtual Interactive Workshop with
Art Holcomb
May 15, 2021, 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM PST

The overwhelming nature of the coronavirus crisis disrupted every aspect of our life –including our writing. Markets were upended, schedules decimated, and opportunities lost. However, according to Art Holcomb, we will find a new normal and deal with the new world that the crisis has left behind. And, as with all crises, opportunities will arise - and writers who can be ready will be able to take advantages of this new world.

Consider these facts:

  • Writers have a unique skills set that will be in demand
  • We are best suited to make sense of the new world we find ourselves in
  • Writers have an insight for understanding what has happened – and what will happen next

Master writer and story expert Art Holcomb can show you ways to: advance your career, locate new markets, use new-found inspiration and turn this experience into real opportunities for growth and success.

What you will learn
  • How to use the Hero’s Journey to understand the path of the pandemic and to predict  reactions, timing and opportunities
  • How Hollywood has changed as a result of the pandemic –and  how to be ready for what comes next
  • Recognize the new realities of the publishing landscape
  • Assess the talents and skills - including hidden one – that you naturally have as a writer
  • What kind of stories will – and will not – be valuable in this new world
  • Understand what publisher and producers will be looking for now and how to position yourself for the best opportunities
  • How to identify new markets  - and new opportunities in existing ones

Who Should Attend:

  • Beginning Writers starting and looking for their first big break
  • Aspiring Writers who want to develop their careers
  • Advanced Writers who want to build an income base and line up opportunities for  the future
By the end of this workshop, you'll be able to:
  • Recognize new opportunities
  • Find new motivation
  • Ease your mind about the future and what will happen next
  • Come up with new applications of old ideas and carve our profitable niches for yourself.
