Updating our Sunday Keynote Speaker.

We are very pleased to announce a very special Keynote Speaker for Sunday, Feb 22nd.

Faculty Headshot

Houston Howard is the CEO/Founder of One 3 Productions. He is a recognized leader known for crafting strategic vision used to achieve business and creative goals. He attended law school, where he specialized in entertainment law and trial advocacy and was awarded the 2005 Virginia Trial Lawyers Award upon graduation.

Howard made a strategic decision to skip film school, and instead chose to self-educate himself through the use of Michael Wiese Productions books.

His book, How to Make Your Story Really Stinkin' Big has been called, "A creative, yet straightforward manual on how to take one concept and turn it into a franchise that will last generations. Houston Howard’s “360° Storyweaving” process is revealed with step-by-step instructions on how to best intersect entertainment, marketing, transmedia and technology."

The Semi-Final Curriculum is online.

Some wonder why we don’t lock the programming up earlier. The reasons are many: we produce three conferences a year and start programming for an event as soon as we recover from the previous one :-). It takes months for our Invited List of Honored Speaker to check their schedules, submit topics appropriate to the theme, our proposed topics and writing strategy of the conference, and often offer topics of their own. Plus, speakers move around, sometimes from one event to another because of outside schedule conflicts. Additionally, we like to let word of an event spread because it brings new, renown speakers and educators to us new with new fresh perspectives to compliment our core of over 200 speakers. Lastly, in our programmers’ warped mind, the schedule is never really final until the speaker is at the podium or seated on the panel. You can find the most recent version here:

Attendees will receive a digital copy in advance, the week of the conference, plus receive a hard copy Program at Registration, plus we often put poster-sized versions on the wall of the event. We may also offer it as a mobile phone App in the future.

We are pleased to announce a terrific Saturday Keynotes for Big Story:

Saturday Keynote: Noted author, playwright and journalist, Brad Schreiber will speak on "The Role and Responsibility of the Writer"   how society views you, and how you can achieve artistic and spiritual satisfaction as writers today. Brad was also Vice President of Storytech Literary Consulting for 12 years, founded by Chris Vogler, author of the best-selling story structure book, The Writer’s Journey.

Sunday Keynote: Acclaimed multi-platform creator Art Holcomb was slated for our Sunday Keynote, but graciously opted for multiple panel and solo presentations over the weekend. Don't miss his presentations.

If you have not registered for the Keynotes, you can pay at the door, but it really helps our planning the catering if you register now:
